Tenerife, sand traps, sun traps, and golf

Aah spring is in the air, when a mans thoughts turn to golf and the great outdoors. In Tenerife, the weather has that spring and summer feel all year and golf is plentiful all around the island.
You may be staying in a Wimpen Leisure Management resort like El Marques or Las Rosas, in Los Gigantes and feel the urge to pick up your clubs, just pop down the road to Abama Golf, just beyond Playa San Juan, to enjoy the luxury and isolation. Or you may decide to head north up the rugged west coast to Buenavista Golf, where the sea and the cliffs make a great back drop.

Sueño Azul in Callao Salvaje is just a short chip away from Golf Costa Adeje, a much loved course used in several major championships. Based at Los Claveles in Los Cristianos, you will be torn between the twin delights of Golf Del Sur and Amarilla Golf, back near the airport, and Golf Las Americas, in its own delightful niche, just behind the night life centre of the south.
So many courses to choose from and so little time, maybe you should stay an extra week on your next visit.
